In The Hoop Eloise Pillow - Tustin



Introducing the Eloise Pillow, an embroidery project fr0m Design by JuJu! Create this lovely floral mandala pillow cover with the fabrics of your choice. Easy to make and assemble! You will love this embroidery project!!!
Minimum 6x10 hoop required.

Minimum Hoop requirement- MIDI or Small Clamp

*Fabrics:

            Background: (white) ? yard solid or tone on tone.

            Backing for pillow back (if making pillow)- ¾ yard or less.

            -OR- Wall hanging fabric- ¼ yard for border strips, ¼ yard for quarter  
                      inch borders and binding, ¾ yard for backing.

The following are for your reference. Please feel free to create your own color choices!

*1 Fat Quarter or ¼ yd. of each color for appliqués:

            3-ORANGES- light, medium, dark

            2-GREENS- medium and dark

            3-BLUES- light, medium, dark

Some of these require less fabric. Refer to page 2, Instructions "Fabric Cutting Chart" to help with the amounts needed for your project size. The larger the size you select, the more fabric is needed, especially the light blue. Here is the order I used-

Fabric 1: medium green

Fabric 2: dark blue

Fabric 3: medium blue

Fabric 4: light orange

Fabric 5: medium orange

Fabric 6: medium green

Fabric 7: dark green

Fabric 8: dark orange

Fabric 9: light blue

*Batting- 15" x 15" to 24" x 24", depending on the size you select.

                        Refer to page 2 on pattern "Fabric Cutting Chart".

*Embroidery Thread colors to complement your appliqué fabrics.

   These are the colors I used:                                            

            oranges: 1030,1220, 1304

            greens: 5513, 5622  

            blues:3652, 3722, 3810

            copper swirls: 1322 (dirty penny)

            white or light gray

Hoop: Midi or larger*

Neutral color bobbin thread*

Medium Weight Tear Away Stabilizer*

OESD Fusible Woven*

OESD Expert Point and Press Tool*

applique scissors*

75/11 or 80/12 embroidery needles*

embroidery presser foot and sewing feet

sewing thread for assembling your project*

ruler and rotary cutter with mat*

Embroidery/Sewing machine cleaned and oiled

Extension table –Power Cord

iron and iron pad

Before Class:

1. Purchase and Download design from JuJu. Load design onto your USB stick.

 

2. Cut your batting, background fabric, Fusible Woven, and appliqué fabric according to your project size as indicated in the instructions on page 2 "Fabric Cutting Chart". Cut 4 of each.

 

3. Fuse Fusible Woven to the wrong side of your background fabric (4 pieces).

 

4. Print out instructions.
