Quilted Postcards- Tustin

I love sending small handmade things in the mail to friends. These quilted postcards are a great quick surprise to make for the holiday season. I will be providing kits at $5 a card. You will have 4 choices of cards, Star, Ornament, Tree, or Heart. Kits will include fabric, postcard, and envelope. Students will need to bring the supplies listed below. Skills taught in class will cover, quilting as you go, blanket stitch applique, card construction, and free motion quilting. Dust off that BSR and come to this class for some no stress fun.

Supply List:

50wt or 40wt thread (cotton or polyester) in green, red, yellow, and blue. I used King Tut variegated thread*

80/12 microtex needles*

1/4 yard Steam a Seam 2*

Iron/ironing mat

Cutting Mat/Rotary cutter/ Creative Grids Ruler (6”x12” is fine)

Karen Kay Buckley Perfect Scissors in Purple or Blue Handle*

Basic Sewing Supplies

Walking foot or Dual-feed machine

Zig Zig Foot ( Bernina #1 or #34)

BSR or Free motion foot.

Sewing Machine in good working order with slide on table
