880/790/590 Instructional Class   

Included in this hands-on class will be BERNINA terminology, features & functions, navigating your machine using its touch screen, knobs, and buttons. Threads, needles, and accessories will be discussed, and proper threading & bobbin winding will be shown. Basic sewing samples will be completed including securing options, top-stitching, hemming, buttonholes, and decorative stitching using functions and memory, BSR, and more.

Machine maintenance, cleaning, oiling, and basic troubleshooting will also be covered.

Supply Lists:

1. BERNINA Sewing Machine, cleaned, oiled and ready to sew; with power cord, foot control, knee lever, slide on table, all feet, tools and accessories that came with the machine, including the instruction manual and BSR.

2. Scissors or thread snips

3. A pen or pencil for taking note

4. Microtex or Jeans needles size 80/12

5. Mettler 100% polyester thread

*We will provide fabrics for you to sew on
*There will be a 45 minute lunch break. Water bottles are allowed in the classroom.
