BERNINA L890/L860 Serger Instructional Class - Anaheim
This instructional class is for owners who purchased their machine from Mel's Sewing & Fabric Center. If you did not purchase your machine from us, please call the store for more information.
BERNINA's latest L890 and L860 machines are full of innovative features and lets you sew, cut and finish in one easy step! This Mastery class will give you the confidence and expertise to get the most out of your new machine. Students will learn threading (One-step BERNINA Air Threader; color-coded one-path threading), maintenance, navigation, different stitches and how to switch between them, and much more. (L860 owners will be able to pack up a bit earlier than the L890 since they do not offer the Cover and Chain stitch options.)

Thread Note:
If you are a new L890 serger owner, I highly recommend that you choose 5
different colors for the 5 cones of thread on the supply list. Ideally, these should
be blue, red, green, yellow, and purple.
The L860 owner only needs to buy 4 cones, eliminating the purple.
As you are learning your machine these colors will help you identify the various
stitches, and which parts may need to be adjusted to obtain that perfect stitch.
These 4 or 5 different thread colors could even be Isacord so they could be used in
the future for embroidery/decorative stitching if desired.
If you are an experienced serger owner, feel free to bring 5 cones in the same
color.
The cone of textured thread can match any of your spools. Pick a color you will be
likely to use in the future.
