Updated 3/23/20
To our Mel’s Sewing & Fabric Center Family,

We wanted to update you all on what is happening here at our stores in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

  1. Our Anaheim store is Open from 10-4. We are here to help you with new machine purchases, questions, supplies, machine service, and pickups. During these hours our doors will remain locked but there will be someone onsite to assist you, process orders, and deliver product to your vehicle. Please call us at 714-774-3460 and we will coordinate with you to make this happen.
  2. We have decided, in keeping with the recommendation of local Health and government officials, to suspend all our classes through the end of March.
  3. We will be closing our Tustin location for the rest of the month of March beginning Tuesday 3/17/20 and will be planning to reopen Wednesday 4/1/20. If you have a special order, repair, or any other item to pick up from this location we will have them at the Anaheim location for you to pick up. Please call us at 714-774-3460 to confirm your pick-up.
  4. If you decide to visit our store, please be aware of your own condition and be respectful of others by following good respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene. If you are sneezing, coughing, or displaying flu like symptoms will be asked to leave.

As a staff we have discussed how to limit the spread of the virus within our walls and are closely monitoring the CDC and OC public health websites for protocols. We have increased our cleaning & disinfecting process.

If you are wanting to pick up a repair or a special order, but you’re worried you might be sick, please stay at home and we can hold your merchandise for as long as needed. If you want to pick up an item and are not sick, we are willing to do “curb-side” service in which you can pre-pay for your item via phone. Simply let us know when you arrive to the store and we will bring the item out to your car."

Please stay aware and safe as we face this virus together

The Orange County Public Health Agency has posted the following:

*There is now laboratory evidence of community transmission in Orange County, indicating that COVID-19 is likely spreading in the community.

*People aged 65 and older, and those with chronic health conditions (heart disease, diabetes, and lung disease) should stay home.

*All residents should practice good health hygiene which includes washing your hands, staying home if you are sick, avoiding close contact with people who are sick and covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your sleeve (not hands).
